I have a new doggie. He showed up in our neighborhood on our doorstep and I kinda rescued him. He needed a good family to love him

I'm assuming you've made a concerted effort to see if this baby already belongs to someone. You know, checking the local vets to see if anyone's posted any missing signs and to check and see if s/he has a microchip. I think it's wonderful that you rescue a dog off the street, but if s/he's someone's baby who is just lost, that would be sad. :(
