Going artistic...

Well, I notice that the rovers and the Goes family are both getting rather poetic and creative in their Live Journals. I was thinking about doing the same. Then I realized I have no real ear for poetry, don't know any music except what I was able to hide when I was launched, and my short story about a plucky telescope floating in earth orbit ( Read more... )

I'm another long-time fan of your incredible images, and I make a habit of using them as wallpaper on my computer. Nothing like gazing into a nebula to ease the day's stress.

You have nothing to be depressed about. You've given us a look at things many of us could never have imagined, much less seen, before you came along.

Your artwork is an inspiration to us humans, urging us to continue space exploration (hear that, NASA?) so as to see even more of the astonishing sights the Universe presents us with. The only reason I don't have one of your pictures as my computer wallpaper is that I can't decide which one!

You're a bit silly (in a cute way)... the visual arts are just as important as the written word, and you're a fantastic photographer. You don't need to write us poetry as long as you could take a snapshot of the world for us, and let us all see from your eyes.

It's why we all love you, and why we're gonna fight to save you.
