Tomorrow night I'm thinking of driving out away from the lights to see some pretty lights. We're expecting small meteor showers tomorrow night. Do they worry you? Any danger to you? Any wishes you'd like us to make on falling stars on your behalf?

Pesky little buggers. Annoy me? Hell yeah they do. Fortunately (as with all satellites) there are contigency plans in place that include me presenting the slimmest possible profile to a meteor shower, and using less vulnerable bits of myself as a shiled against them. Also, they keep me with my solar panels parallel to the path of the meteors, so there's almost no target available. Cause if one of them went through a panel, I'd be one unhappy camper, let me tell you what. 10 years ago one of those peskers actually chipped my WF/PC1 camera radiator. Man, let me tell you, that smarted.

Still, last time we had to do all this was the Leonids back in '01. Frankly, there's just too few meteors, and I'm rather small in comparrison with the earth, so I'm not in a heck of a lot of danger.
