if you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. it can be anything you want, either good or bad.

when you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

years ago, i was on tour with blacken the skies, and i slept on your wooden walkway in the back of the house. that was my introduction to some of the most beautiful people in louisville (and the world, for that matter).

yeah strange time so many amazing heartfelt interactions so many good people but still such an awkward time. the good fort is up and running (shuffling) again. this time mainly as a workshop. sadly there's not much left of the bridge anymore.

i'm really sorry i didn't make it to see you when i was in your neck of the woods. we really do need to spend some time together some day.

oh and thank you. for everything.

yup, the good old days. kids this evening say they saw me but it's nothing like how seeing me used to be, back in the day.

we used to talk via aim all the time, and you told me about how you jumped off the i street bridge in sacramento and had watergun shoot-outs in old town.

four years ago you told me to listen to neutral milk hotel and i did.
i remember you always had something thought-provoking to say, even to a disaffected little fifteen year-old whose livejournal entries had very little content of interest.

also: that your exact reaction to reading the journal of albion moonlight was "like going through a literary trial-by-fire", which is fantastic and apt.
