hey, i've been thinking of you lately. we talked about this election back when we were being shrill bitches on a rampage---remember? i said Bush would win, and you told me there was no way, and i think we had some sort of evil wager. could be wrong---but that's how i seem to remember it. but that's not my point. my point?
i've actually been thinking about that for some time, all we said, and all you said you felt. i guess i want to say that i hope you're okay. i know how much this election meant to you (and to so many people). believe it or not, i'm not a bush fan, and i'm worried about where we're going in this country (i'd be blind not to)---but i'm trying to be optimistic. important to stay that way, even in the midst of this.
Hey! Doin' well, to be honest. I was a huge fan of Dean; when he was elminated, I had a hard time latching onto a candidate. Kerry was (is) unimpressive. I considered writing Dean in, or voting for Badnarik. For a while, I seriously thought about voting for George. In the end, I cast my vote for Kerry without any enthusiasm.
I don't necessarily care for the tax cuts, the situation in Iraq and various other issues, but I'm just going to adjust to whoever (whomever?) wins.
If Bush wins this thing (and he likely will -- Ohio has him up by about 120,000 votes at this time), he will probably push two things forward that are important to me: Social Security reform and health care savings plans. I like both of his ideas.
Though I voted for Kerry, I found some good things in both candidates.
well, i'm glad. i kind of feel the same way, in terms of being ambivalent. i mean, we're here with the shmoes we have, and it is what it is. so many people on my list, though, are like, tearing their hair out---probably your list, too. i understand that, and i feel badly. we're so divided; that's nothing you don't know.
just wanted to give you a shout out, a digital hug, and say i was thinking about you---all good thoughts. :)
Yeah, there's a lot of doom and gloom on my friends pages. It's odd. The majority of America voted for Bush, yet I don't see anyone singing the praises.
I suppose it has a lot to do with the people I choose as bedfellows.
I'm glad you wrote -- nice to hear from people I haven't talked to in a while. I hope that all is well with you and yours! :)
