I'm all for getting people out of their cars, but I'm also a realist. If we want people who commute into SF to not drive, the Muni needs to not suck, and adequate parking needs to be built at all the Bart/Caltrain stations. Why does Bart run like every 20 minutes here? In DC I never waited more than 5 minutes for a train.

The simple fact of the matter is that if everyone got out of their cars right now, public transit will be swamped and people will get back into their cars. It's a chicken and egg problem, and the only way we will solve it is to stop *blaming* drivers and taxing them, and agree that public transit/mobility is a civil right and something worth funding.
