I'm curious as to how your experience was. My Korean friends tell me it's unimagineably crowded, polluted, cold, and that the people are very rude. I am Korean myself but have never set foot there (although I speak it fluently). I'm about to live there for about four years as a foreign exchange student. Can you give me any tips or wanrings?

i think the ppl we came across in seoul were mostly friendly, apart from the two quite rude sales ppl from those market shopping malls. it was definitely COLD, but i didn't think it was too crowded/polluted (well, at least no where near as crowded as tokyo or hong kong). i noticed that ppl spit on the streets!

we actually travelled with a friend who is korean, so that made things a lot easier for us in terms of everything (transportation, ordering food and shopping etc). tip? wear gloves in winter! seriously.. what a difference a pair of gloves make...
