How to Tip a Server!

A little restaurant knowledge (read me please!)
SINCERLY , YOUR FELLOW RESTAURANT WORKERS
The next time you're out eating at a restaurant, look at your server. Do you think they are really happy to be doing that job? The answer is no, they are not, but it's what we do, and we do it for the money so please help them out. Its a tougher job than you ( Read more... )

Remember, our companies pay us minimum wage (minimum wage for servers is ONLY $ 3.13 an hour in FLORIDA ,$2.38 IN MARYLAND & $2.13 in Louisiana & TN)

Makes me glad I'm an overnight stockperson. O_o Yay, $8/hr.

O.o My dad made that 20 years ago... Minimum wage in CA is $7.75 right now... This has to be really old... Though I do understand that it's the idea of it.

Not everyone is ignorant about tipping... We give descent tips unless the service sucks. xP It shouldn't take 10 minutes for someone to ask if you want something to drink.

Some people are rude and ignorant though, and I wouldn't want to have to deal with people like that on a daily basis. I'm glad I work for a small business, where I don't have to deal with too many people.

see. now you did did it. i used to be a great tipper. now i am no longer, based purely on the fast that i am being told what i should tip. 10% is now the max i will tip. sucks to be restaurant people.
