MAFIA: night nine
Tonight is the final time the sleep curse will take over.
Tonight is your last night here- whether you are the one killed tonight by the Demon, whether you correctly identify the Demon tomorrow and escape, or whether you lose tomorrow; it all bears the same result- you will not have to spend another night trapped on King's Court Island.
Or will you?
Before you're lulled off to sleep, you hear soft, sweet whispers surrounding you, and the gentle touch of something misty and half-formed, enveloping you in warmth. You're growing too sleepy beneath the curse to comprehend just what it is...
So much has been lost here. Perhaps you're forgetting what made the others what they were in place of the horrors that happened here. Japan's long, honor-steeped history, the first to fall here. Belarus, as cold as the snow covering her land, but fragile, too. Cuba, a truly kind and brave- if misunderstood- man beneath the surface. Liechtenstein, so innocent that she had relied on her brother to protect her and her people. China, with honey in his mouth and knives in his heart, the ancient dragon always patiently waiting to rise again. Canada, always strong in a quiet way, waiting patiently to be noticed. Egypt, who needed not words but a single gaze to convey everything. Taiwan, who wore a smile as often and as bright as the flowers in her hair. Russia, always lost and scattered but somehow still together. Prussia, with blazing eyes and fiery words, burning out to cinders on the cliff...
And the Demons. Do you remember who they were before all of this? Or do you just now think of what they had become? Hong Kong, his enigmatic eyes piercing through smoke, had wanted to kill you all. Germany, ambitious and proud to his very last breath, had been honorable even in his desire to drag you all down to hell. England, once the greatest empire in all the world, loving but haunted and broken, with blood on his hands. And Hungary, buried in flowers, whose smile belied the heart of a warrior maiden...
Before you fall asleep, you hear a scream.

Tomorrow morning, three of you will remain.
Two innocents, one Demon.
It's all come down to this. Life or death. Which one are you fighting for?
Do you even know any more?
