This was great. I can see them slowly falling into each other while the whole world burns around them and they can do nothing but love each other.

Wow.
I have to admit, I usually don't like songfic, and I just skipped the parts with the lyrics.

But what was left was very poignant. I loved the almost eerie atmosphere of the piece (They sat with their hands wrapped in each others, watching as Grace chased butterflies, the smoke still visible in the distance. <-- made me shiver) that made their developing relationship all the more frail and precious.
