So I found out today that 3 of my close friends from Wooster have gotten married in the last two months. Also, two more got engaged during that time. And, the best news of all is that one of my best friends had a baby today!!! yeah! Lots of exciting stuff going on while I am not there. Curt also got a bike. I knew that was happening sometime ( Read more... )

C'mon, names? Do I know any of these Wooster people?

THAT IS THE BEST STORY EVER!! You got flown into by a bat!? I can't get over you calling mom and dad rather than just walking out of the room and going to get them. Although, I guess then you would have lost sight of the bat. hahaha, thanks for sharing!

Great news on the windshield. I had hoped that was the case, but you seemed so confident that it wouldn't pass. Glad you were wrong :)

OKay names: roger shearer is one of the ones who got married. So is Dustin Taylor (dori's brother). YOu wouldn't know the other. Tom (big truck tom) is one of the ones who got engaged. You wouldn't know the other.

Yeah, I didn't want to let the bat loose throughout the house.

And about the windshield. I was told by almost everyone that in the state of PA, if it is larger than the length of a dollar bill, you have to repair it to pass. Turns out that is only if it is within certain measurements of the driver's vision. So that is good.

Shows you how out of the loop I am. I had to search my memory very hard to even remember that Dori had a brother. I certainly never met him. Eh, oh well.

and yes, I got flown into by a bat. I must have stood up into his flight path at the very last second because bats don't run into anything normally. It definitely FELT too big/dense to be a big moth :)

OK... your story almost made me throw up. Bats freak me out to no end.

I want the other names! Spill! Though one of those names on there also made me want to throw up... and I think you know which one. We'll jsut leave it at that.

I don't think you really know any more than what I posted for Carol. They are all friends that I know through the four years that I was with Curt. Matt Shearer was the one who had the baby, Roger and Dustin Taylor and Dustin Flinner all got married (though Flinner got married this past fall). You wouldn't know the rest.

Don't worry, I would keep you posted on anyone else :)

I think it's great that you called your parents. They must have thought you were going crazy. Scary about the bat in your room, that's how that guy in TX got rabies last month . .

Ok, I'm actually getting a little concerned about this rabies thing. Did you check for bites? It sounds so similar to that story, being awoken by the fluttering of wings, etc.

not to worry. I have no bites :)

Ok, good. So you did check. Can you definitely see bat bites? I know it sounds paranoid, but about five minutes before I read your post last night, I saw a bat outside, and was thinking about that guy, and it was so weirdly coincidental that a similar situation happened to you.

By the way, we had an AOE picnic/reunion in COlumbus last weekend, which I flew home for. It was so fun, and we were looking through old photos and people were asking about you!
