I am realllllly happy to notice that the bulbs that I planted in the fall are actually growing. I planted tulips, daffodils, crocus, and striped squill. They were the leftover clearance stuff that was, well, cheap, so I didn't know whether to expect it to grow or not ( Read more... )

yay! bulbs are the bomb: so easy to grow & so stunning! I doubled my bed of Globe Alliums: I hope they all do as well this year as last: wow. I am not as fond, however of tulips & daffidols: they don't seem as hardy, but still very pretty, just more replacement cost?

I know the Oregon valley perennials so well: I'm trying to hone in on MN perennials I like so I can get a nice reliable, stunning, low-maintenance flower garden: heh. Yeah, I want it all. ;)
