I can't say what it is about this song that makes me grin like a loon but everytime I hear it, I can't help myself. It's a total ear worm I know and apologies if it's now in your head but this song never fails to cheer me up - that and it makes me do the Jade dance which in turn makes everyone around me smile. Truly this is a song that keeps on giving :D
And because I'm a day behind as I didn't get a chance to post yesterday (stupid work internet blocking youtube didn't help either) here is today's second song so I can get caught up.

Chris Colfer - I Want To Hold Your Hand
Yes, it's another Glee track and no, it probably won't be the last. I was on the verge of tears when I first saw the episode where Kurt sang this and the context of the song is part of what makes it so poingnat for me. (Warning: Spoilers for those yet to see ep 2.3!) Having lost my dad just over a year ago, Chris Colfer's performance was like a punch to the gut - visceral but beautiful in it's fragility. Even without the visuals, you can hear the emotion in Colfer's voice as he sings - one of the reasons why I love hearing him sing so much - and although it makes me want to cry, I can't bring myself to stop listening to it.
