There's quite a few monster / end of the world / survivors trapped and fighting the creatures type movies coming out over the next few months....
30 Days of Night, I Am Legend, Black Sheep, the JJ Abrams 'Cloverfield' movie....
Today in the paper, it said that your most memorable horror movie revealed your secret fear. Out of the ten featured, the one that got me the most was Dawn of the Dead, the 70s version. Apparently that means I have a fear of Armageddon. *shrugs* I guess I am a little freaked out by the trailers *shivers* and I don't want to be freaked out alone. *hides under the blankets*
So, to celebrate the immiment monster-fest (I Am Legend is out in December - it's not Christmas without the Apocalypse coming to a cinema near you), I'd love firstly to know your favourite horror movie and why, and secondly, what would be your scariest apocalytic event if it was to happen for real? Nuclear war, killer virus, meteor strike, vampire sheep? What would you do?
I was discussing 28 days later with a guy I worked with. I said I'd head to the police station, the firestation, anywhere there'd likely be someone in authority. He said he'd head for the off-licence - free booze. Maybe it's a guy thing.
I have the urge to go write SGA monster fic for each of the above, now. Hey - Night of the Plot Bunnies. *climbs on chair to avoid insatiable bunnies*
