Two weeks ago, I moved my drawing equipment and desk to an office in Ballard, where I've set up a small studio with a few other artists. The idea is that I'll work harder if I'm commuting someplace. So far, it's driven a huge uptick in productivity

You haven't posted stuff at your other blog...I think it would be good to at least let people know that you are still working on the comic.
BTW you mentioned that you would have distributed the book digitally if you had it to do over again. Why? I'm going to try and sell the semi secret project to a magazine as a regular feature so that wouldn't apply to this thing I'm doing, but I'd still like to hear your views.

As for the digital distribution thing -- I'm not sure a pure digital distribution method would pay the bills quite yet, but at some point it will be the predominant way that comics are sold. I kind of wish I'd drawn my comic for print, but in an aspect ratio and level of detail that would be easily portable to a digital format. In other words, the comics that I draw in the future will be made in as flexible a way as possible, so that they can be distributed in as many ways as possible. When everybody's buying their comics through the iBookstore and the creators are pulling down 70% of every copy sold, things are going to get very, very interesting.
