Two in a day? Wow.

Okay, I'ma poll all you folks, I'm torn between the two for my lovers and mine upcoming anniversary. Please, give me your advice, and if you've been to either, what are they like? Keep in mind, we're looking for something formal/semiformal

I went to La Chaumiere last year for French class. Really yummy dessert. Pretty expensive. We only got to go in room of the restaurant so I'm not sure what the rest of it was nice, but the atmosphere in our little banquet room wasn't romantic. The presentation of the food was very nice, taste was good, not exceptional [though they were cooking for 50 students at the time so you can understand that]. I'd reccommend it, but I've never been to Il Sogno so I can't compare the two

Go to Il Sogno. I used to work there and it is a very nice restuarant. Get ready to dish out same cash for a meal but they have a super friendly chief and great staff. The kitchen is right in the main room so you can watch him cook your meal. It's a great italian place. Check it out first though!

Funnily enough, I couldn't get reservations to either(Note to self, make reservations waaaaay before hand), so instead, I checked out a few other ones, and Decided on Villa Firenze. Il Sogno and La Chaumiere are going to be high on my lists though.
