Right now, the world, at least to me, is perfect. There's a light rain, the first real rain of the year, just enough to get you pleasantly cool if you walk in it. Just hard enough to fall, almost light enough to be fog. There is the occasional car, the occasional animal scurrying or fluttering from one dry spot to another

My mom hates the rain, and I don't understand it. For some reason it just reminds her of what is wrong with her life.

I agree about the thunderstorms. I remember more than once when I was little, lying in bed, terrified but at the same time thrilled when thunderstorms that shook pots and pans in the house and the windows passed through. Those are my next favorite weather. Followed by that big fluffy snow that seems to take forever to fall and then the just perfectly warm partially sunny days with the big cottonball clouds.

See, I despise snow. It hurts my eyes, it's wet, and it's cold. I love summer days though.
I think appreciating the weather and the world we live in for being beautiful just makes us more... content. You know? I think you can tell a lot about a person by how they feel about the weather.
