Okay, so it turns out I'm not coming back until the following Monday now, which is the 26th. So yes, that is when I shall be back, for those curious. But, hey, I'm still not paying for the plane ticket, so I can't complain, although I would have rather come back that Saturday. Oh well

"car kit" means that there is corrosion (sp.?) in the battery...the phone-fixer dude told me that it happens when an infant sucks on the opening where you plug in the charger. Their saliva causes...bad..things? yeah.

The whole, "car kit" thing comes from your phone being confused. it thinks that its on one of those car...kits...that help you answer and talk on the phone when you are driving.

I had to take my phone to some Verizon store wheni was in NC and they just fiddled with the battery housing for a day. They like, brushed it out with some special...brushing tools.

But now my pound and star keys don't work. Go figure?

Should have opted for the warranty. Damnit.

Thanks for the information. Didn't have time to sort anything out before I went to Chicago though, and they told my Parents that the thing was completely screwed and I needed a new phone, so I guess those bastards we're lying? Oh well, I got a new phone.

I definitely don't recall anyone sucking on the opening in my phone, but there was crap in there.

Sorry about the pound and star keys, but psh, who really needs those that much anyways? Voicemail is overrated.
