Top 10 albums of 2004
10. Dead to Fall- Villainy and Virtue. These guys aren’t reinventing the wheel AT ALL but they still have breakdowns so big it makes my penis hard. They try some new shit and for the most part it works. They should have tried it more. Tuff Guy mosh core at its finest. Stand out track- Blood of the moon
9. Blood Bro. - Crimes. Say what you will but the Blood Bro. put on a hell of an exciting show. Ass shaking, fist waving, sweat and spit. This CD takes their entire live show and no lube pushes it into your ear canal. Stand out track-Rats and Rats and Rats for candy.
8. Hot Cross-Fair trades and farewells. Hot Cross is what you’ve come to expect from Level Plane artists. Passionate. Beautiful. Intense. The one problem I have with this album is that it’s almost exactly the same as the last ones. Stand out tracks- Better a corpse than a nun.
7. Malady-S/t. You really don’t need to know much about these guys once you know their COC and Pg.99 COMBINED! Holy shit that’s like Voltron and The Megazord being like “Fuck it lets make a child.” And then that child took over the world. Melodies, Intensity this shit will make your eardrums think their listening to crack. Standout tracks- Pick one you won’t be disappointed.
6. Unearth-The Oncoming storm. Imagine seeing a wall. Now imagine that wall was moving at a very high speed. Imagine while running away from said wall you tripped and fell and your last thought before the wall hit you was “Fuck.” That’s this CD in a nutshell. Too brutal for its own good. I can only listen to it in small doses because I’m a pussy and I get scared. Standout Track-Black Hearts Now Rain
5. De La Soul- The Grind Date. De La Soul is not dead. If they were there would be no hip-hop. I really don’t know what you kids are listening too these days but whatever it is its waaaay shittier than this CD. Return Nelly’s shit and shit CD and get this. 4. Mad Villain- Mad Villainy. Ummm Say what? The hottest shit since your mother and me spent that night in Cabo. That’s how you were born. Why don’t you have this cd? What the fuck is wrong with you? Stand out track- Every single fucking one. I wish I was kidding.
3.Ampere- All our Tomorrows end Today- Shit fuck seeing these guys live is like getting the shit kicked out of you for a good 7 minutes, getting up to try and fight back and realizing its tomorrow and you’re the opposite sex. Good when we were callin them Orchid/wolves/the last forty seconds/stop the clock, good now. P.s. Their bass player is pretty hot. Stand out tracks-Track 2.
2. Breather Resist-Charmer. I LOVE this record. Sooooo Fuckin good. Good goddamn I really can’t say anything that isn’t gonna make me sound like a drooling mess. But I will say this is current Black Cross/ex-National Acrobat DON’T PASS THIS UP!
1. Fordirelifesake-This CD made me believe in Christmas again. It’s brutal when it needs to be but beautiful and unpredictable like a 2 year old with a shard of glass at times. Something about this CD came and grabbed me. It really was the right CD at the right time.
