i don't have posting access to TQC (my account is too new), so i hope its ok that i post my answer here.
perhaps you can talk to your professor and see if she/he will extend the number of people in your group?
if not, maybe emailing other members of the class that you are familiar with and ask on her behalf is she can join?
or encourage her to send the professor the email she sent to you about needing a group, and include to the professor that she doesnt know anyone else in the class.
i'm glad you are trying to help her, rather than take the easy road out and just ignore her and continue with your work.
we're all connected, and it's really nice to know that there are still caring people out there.
