but that's more than $0! although it might be kind of fun-that's a group reading (also including bank & mcinerney & others) all reading about walking? except, critically, it's also not on the walk(!) to the train.

i could print out pollack's BLOG entry and have frey sign it. but i couldn't have rushdie sign it! frey probably doesn't have a 6 foot sign in the doorway saying he's not signing memorabilia, only! his! current! book! but then again maybe he does. okay enough.

rushdie's speaking at the humanities fest in november, and i'm sure it'll be mobbed then as well.

part of it is i'm kind of curious what a rushdie mob looks like! and if my employer has beefed up security. i saw elie wiesel read at the same store a few weeks ago and there were store security people everywhere

well, wiesel *is* a scamp...

How's work/life/big city living? All's well here, not that you could tell from my updates (or lack thereof). Been hit up by the alma mater lately? That blessed event Homecoming is rapidly approaching, and the emails make it seem like I'm offending them if I don't show up.

Oh, please. Dial it down, alumni relations.

I just wanted to let you know that you and I are part of a very exclusive livejournal club...yes, we are two of the mere six people who have ignition (remix) listed as an interest. It's truly a shame our numbers are so small.
