I have a question for you all.

This ballot has me curious about something. For those of you aware of your previous demise; that is, knowing that you have died, and are now alive again; would you want to return home? Would that not put you in a situation where you are immediately dead again? Would we be returned to a point before our death so ( Read more... )

I no longer have reason to be alive. I accomplished all I could, and only want to rest. This town is disturbing my rest.

You consider your death your rest. Like a vacation then?

Can you not simply stay in your home and sleep, should you desire your rest so? [[Almost getting it, but not]]

I have found no rest, in neither sleep nor home. I do not expect such, either.

So the rest you need is not a recovery, but something spiritual?

[a chat between dead people, eh? Fine, he'll bite.]

That would depend on which sounds less appealing: to cease one's existence, or to live one that is basically meaningless.

I accomplished what I had set out to do in my life. I appreciate the new friends I have, but, I really have nothing left to return to.

So, you would be fine with living here even if all of your friends returned home. Alone with the drones.

At that point, I believe I would be bored with this place. However, we've yet to come to that point

Depending solely on one's definition of 'life'. Life generally - stereotypically, in the greeting card sense of the word - is what you make of it, but I've not much choice of anything here, even down to home decor and wife. Not exactly fair, is it?

I suppose it is not, but for some, is it more of a life than they had before. I've lived here longer than I lived in the world I am from.

Oh? [ You don't sound THAT young, hang on. That math doesn't add up. ] You must have been here for quite some time.

Only a few months. Not even a year. I was spawned in the swamps of Flordia, then given a body thereafter.

I am not human.

I'm in the same predicament. Mayfield brought me here after I died, and I plan on staying here. Even if they brought me back to life in my home world, I don't want to return there. I hate Mayfield, but I'm alive here.

If I had a chance to go to some other world though, I'd take it.

[Theo had an offer from someone to go to their world... but Mayfield already sent her home.]

But then which is it? To return to somewhere you don't want to be, or remain living in a place you hate?

I'd rather be alive than dead. I just have to get over Mayfield's bullshit. Wouldn't you?

I am content here. I've come to know that my friends achieved what they were after, as her father is here to tell me so. THere is nothing left for me there. This is my life now, even if it is not the most peaceful or consistent.

This is not living. Total oblivion would be vastly preferable to this cage.

You seem to have the same opinion as many others...
