Topic: Talk about something you lost.
My sanity.
No.
Really.
I mean it.
Back when I was an ignorant Earthling, I didn’t think aliens existed, at all. I’d laugh at all those sci-fi shows and movies, figuring they were just a creation of a writer’s overactive imagination. Then I got shot through a wormhole and boy did my opinion change, and for a while I was pretty sure I’d hit my head damn hard.
Then there was this messy business with the wormhole knowledge being crammed into my head shortly followed by a neural chip courtesy of Scorpy. The damn thing nearly drove me insane, and well, truth be told, it did.
I was overrun by the Scorpius personality and went on this kamikaze run in the attempt at getting to Scorpius with the information about wormholes. Fortunately for me I had friends that stopped me, but I lost the woman I loved and the less said about that the better.
I’ve lost a lot of things in my life and some have been the basic things like my ability to brush my teeth the normal human way (ew, dentics) to other things like my closest friends, right down to the small thread of sanity I had left.
The important thing is that no matter what I’ve lost I’ve always found a way to keep going and somehow - God only knows how - I’ve always managed to come back to myself.
