Dec 30, 2007 01:13

I was avoiding studying for finals and took pictures. Now its time to dump them! My collection of stuff thats mostly scavenged from bones to feathers (lots from parrots, particularly mine) to Comp monitors ^^

Coon spine

necklace with bobcat toe bones that skullfaced made ^^ Shes awesome

"Blue" snake vertebra bracelet I made (Bad pic, sorry. Camera hates objects closer than ten feet)

My altar. Too many to name here, anyone wanna try and guess at stuff on it? More close up pics of it linked below ^^

Elk jawbonefound in Colorado

Cow sacrum, cow sacrum fused to pelvic bones, cow verts, Cow scapula, Horse skull, cow skull, deer antlers, Horse spine

Female deer siting atop a female elk. ^^

Shadow Box #1- Scavenged a cork board poster thing from the trash, ripped out the cork board, glued in some wood slats, painted it and turned it into a shadow box. Lots of scavenged critters. I'm worse than a magpie. Play spot the critters and see who you can guess. ^^

Shadow Box #2- Skullfaced found this shadow box for me at a resale shop ^^ I'm still working on filling it up. Raccoon skull, jawbone and misc bones, snake skin, hornet nest, dried geckos, dried frog, bird egg shells, butterflies and other misc things. Oh yeah, and those two on the side are Tanuki tails. ^^

Horse skull with a bitterfly ^^

Scavenged the CD player system thingy (my minds blanked...) and the speakers from a trash bin at my appt complex and my brother fixed it. Theoretically the SNES is scavenged as well since I got it from a resale shop but I'll leave that one alone =P

More appartment dump stuff. My brother found this dresser in the trash at 2 am one night and had me help him haul it back to our place.

Working Computer monitor that skullfaced found in some trash bins outside a storage place. Good thing too, my brother badly needed a monitor!

Why the hell people throw out perfectly good stuff instead of donating it somewhere it can be of use is beyond me. It makes me thrilled to find cool or working stuff I can use but it infuriates me that people would create more waste or be lazy and just throw something away when with a little extra time and effort they could donate it or find someone else that could use it and help someone. It truly pisses me off. Oh well, least we got to it instead of them being wasted and what I can't use I make sure to find someone who can use it or make sure it gets to good will. Feh. Off my soapbox now...
