About a year ago I picked up one of these satellite radio things. I decided to go with Sirius for 2 reasons, they carried Air America radio and all the NFL games. I couldn't go wrong. In fact, at the time XM radio didn't have either. So, I was surprised this morning to turn on radio and find out that they are no longer carrying Air America Radio. ( Read more... )

So, I first heard about this book, "How to be Idle" on NPR over Memorial Day weekend. Essentially the book is social commentary on our current state of "work". WHen I went back to school in the spring of 2001, I was somewhat shocked at how different college seemed. (I had spent a year at Penn State from the fall 95 through spring 96). A few months ago, i read a book entitled "Crimes against Logic" by the philosopher Jamie Whyte. It's a great read and I would recommend it to anyone interested in logical inconstistencies (I'm looking at you Mark). The book covers a wide variety of topics and is quite accessable ( Read more... )
