Actually, it probably won't pass here the way things have been going. Last week, all three attorney general canidates (including the incumbent republican) came out against the amendment because "it's bad law." The amendment we are facing in Utah is significantly different (and more defeatable) than the one that passed there. The Missouri amendments says "That to be valid and recognized in this state, a marriage shall exist only between a man and a woman." In Utah, Amendment 3 states "(1) Marriage consists only of the legal union of a man and a woman. (2) No other domestic union may be recognized as a marriage or given the same or substantially equal legal effect." The second part demonstrates that this is not about defining marriage, it's about limiting rights.
