Soaring hearts

She wasn't a fan of extreme sports, never liking thrillers or horror films. In general, she never liked feeling her heart pound hard against her chest, or feeling as if the floor was pulled from under her feet. She never liked it when she wasn't in control of something. It was funny though, how dating Tiffany felt similar to those. - part3

Taeyeon tilted her head up, studying the tall structure with a frown. "Why did I agree to this," she thought.

"I'm crazy," she muttered out loud. She heard an amused chuckle and turned to the source. "You're crazy," she said instead before looking up again.

Tiffany chuckled again, moving to stand beside her and held her hand. "Maybe," she replied light heartedly. "I know you don't like things like these but I really want to do this with you."

"I-," her words get stuck in her throat the moment her eyes met Tiffany's again. The hope in the latter's eyes was too much. She knew she couldn't say no. She didn't want to refuse her, not this time. She sighed and nodded, giving in.

"The things I do for you," she thought fondly as Tiffany beamed, excitedly pulling her towards the tall structure.

Tiffany made Taeyeon feel like a total hypocrite sometimes but maybe that was what it did to people. Like? Love? That did things to people.

7 months ago, Taeyeon cringed at what she thought were overly romantic movies. She would scoff at how affected one could be in those movies. She didn't think she would - or could be - one of those girls.

She never thought she would blush at cheesy, sweet words from another person. She would never have thought her heart could race from just the look in someone's eyes. She didn't really like flowers either but she received red daisies from Tiffany once, for no reason other than just because Tiffany wanted to, and it had made her smile the whole day.

Taeyeon really did hate thrills and she would never have thought she could agree to bungee jumping because a certain someone really wanted to do it with her.

Tiffany hopped a little in excitement as they took the elevator up to the platform and it made Taeyeon smile despite the hesitance.

Like? Love? That did things to people.

Taeyeon hugged Tiffany close, fearfully peeping over her shoulders to the ground below. Her heart felt like it could explode with anxiety and she really didn't like it. The staff started to count down from 5 slowly -on her nervous request- to their jump.

"I really don't like this, Tiffany," she whined, clutching the back of the latter's shirt tightly as the countdown neared its end.

She heard a soft chuckle. "I know," Tiffany replied softly. "Thank you."

She felt Tiffany rub her back soothingly and calmed down just a little, thinking about how much worse it could be if she had to jump alone.

"2.....1."

She tightened her hold on Tiffany as she felt the girl lean sideways and gave in. The rush was unbelievable. They screamed - well, she screamed while Tiffany cheered - and they ended up laughing from the adrenaline once they've stopped bouncing in the air like ragged dolls.

Their laughter ceased as they waited for the staff to get them. They were hanging upside down and she could feel the blood rushing to her head, but the experience was one she knew she could never forget.

"That wasn't so scary now, was it?" Tiffany asked and Taeyeon felt a kiss at the side of her neck.

Tiffany sounded so happy and Taeyeon wasn't sure of what to say. There was only one thing in her mind and she decided maybe she could be brave enough this time. The timing was a little off, and they were upside down, but the feeling was right and Taeyeon didn’t want to wait any more. "I think I love you," she replied and almost groaned at how hesitant she sounded.

A brief pause and Tiffany chuckled a little. "I love you, too," Tiffany said softly.

Tiffany's reply was so sure that Taeyeon felt bad because hers might have sounded like she didn't mean it. That wasn't the case though. It really wasn't.

They had just taken a plunge down a high rise building with nothing but a rope for safety but Taeyeon felt her heart soar because she was falling with Tiffany. It was something she thought she would never do but she did it for Tiffany. She felt, then, that they could brace any storm together and she just really wanted Tiffany to feel her heart soar too.

She turned her face against Tiffany's neck. "I love you," she said again, confidently this time and didn't miss the pounding heart beating against hers, hoping it meant more than just from the adrenaline.

Daisies generally stand for purity, innocence & loyal love. In this site though, red daisies mean "You don't know how beautiful you are to me."

I googled because I like daisies, they're pretty.
