Why Not?

A/N: Hi :) Here's something common I suddenly decided to try and make it my own. I literally started writing this earlier this morning because my body clock woke me up early...... and I suddenly had the idea.... at 6-7ish.... on a Saturday morning. o<-<

Edited but probably overlooked some things... /shrugs.

Tiffany always seemed to have a knack of finding herself in unfavorable situations. Granted, it was definitely almost worth it about 5 minutes ago -or 10, she couldn't tell- when the room was still filled with heavy breathing, arched backs and fulfilled heated desires.

In her defense, it was slightly due to the alcohol but then again, it was probably mainly because she wanted to. Who wouldn't when met with a really cute girl who was completely more than willing? She wasn't even the one who initiated the whole thing. It wasn't an opportunity her intoxicated mind -and admittedly deprived body- could pass.

She had never done it like this before, though. Never with a stranger she's met at a bar 4 hours ago, never that impulsively at a nearby motel, and definitely never without strings attached or feelings involved. To be honest, that was the only thing she might have felt sorry for. They barely knew each other and she always thought that something like that should be with someone you had at least a little bit of feelings for.

Yes, she was a little intoxicated. Yes, it was a little rushed, but it was never rough. Would that count as having "a little bit of feelings" for the girl lying still next to her?

Neither had said anything for a while, nor did any of them make a move to leave right away after the deed was done. They had retreated under the warm blanket, both laying on their backs and catching their breaths after making sure the blanket covered the both of them well. They were no where near cuddling but neither left right away. That would have seemed inconsiderate. Being considerate, would that count as "a little bit of feelings" as well?

Actually, that'd be kind of heartless, to leave right away. At least they were both being human about it.

She had never done one night stands before, and probably won't do it again but how does one usually handle it? She couldn't possibly just get up and leave with a lingering "Thanks, that was great."..... Could she?

Taeyeon.

It was a pretty name for a pretty girl. She suddenly wondered if she was even given a real name. Do people give fake names for one night stands?
Probably not impossible.

"I'm straight," the equally naked girl next to her suddenly voiced out, startling Tiffany out of her thoughts.

She turned to find Taeyeon staring at the ceiling with a blank look. She looked kind of beautiful like that, her hair in a little bit of a mess, the fair skin somewhat glowing from the night lights peeking through the curtains and her collar bones barely showing before the blanket covered her snugly. She was all that but Tiffany could only manage to stare at her in utmost disbelief. After what they did, after this girl had basically thrown herself at her the whole night, after they had sex, she just blurts out that she was straight?

"Um," Tiffany paused, unsure of what to say. Maybe all one night stands inevitably turn awkward, anyway, but this was completely unexpected.

"I saw you from across the bar, and thought you were beautiful," Taeyeon continued, turning her head to meet her eyes.

She couldn't tell what she was thinking, but felt her face heat up at the compliment.

"I thought I'd just say hi, you know? I mean I'm straight -was? I don't know-but I wanted to talk to you and I didn't expect to end up here, like this. I guess my body was insanely attracted to you," she said, chuckling, and Tiffany found herself mesmerized by the same smile that had her hooked and landed her in their situation in the first place.

She couldn't help but smile, too, noticing how the tension between them became lighter. They were both adults after all, and she could see that Taeyeon held no hard feelings.

"Do you want to go out with me, Tiffany?"

Her smile quickly faltered and she gaped at the question. Wasn't one night stands supposed to last for, well, one night? Staring in complete shock at Taeyeon who seemed to be asking seriously, she wondered if she accidentally got herself involved with one of the supposedly clingy ones.

Taeyeon suddenly burst out laughing, so hard that it bounced off walls and her chortles rang across the room. She turned towards Tiffany, clutching her stomach, and somehow curling up next to her. She was close, really close but Tiffany was too shocked and confused to bother moving away. After what they did, was there really a need to?

"Calm down," Taeyeon managed to say between her chuckles. She placed her hand on Tiffany's arm. "I'm just kidding."

The warm touch managed to snap her back to reality and Tiffany managed to relax, smiling again when Taeyeon grinned playfully.

"Out of courtesy," Taeyeon spoke again, after retracting her hand. "Would you like to stay the night and sleep or would you rather take your leave now?"

She thought about it and Taeyeon didn't seem to mind waiting for her answer. She looked at her and figured it was late, and she really didn't mind spending the night - or whatever's left of it- with the girl after all.

"I'll stay the night," she answered in the end.

"Well okay, sometimes I get touchy when I sleep so don't sue me," the girl replied, casually before closing her eyes. "Night. I hope I don't wake up being robbed," she muttered under her breath.

Tiffany chuckled, and Taeyeon smiled again. "I won't sue or rob you. Goodnight."

She was too close but it was comfortable and Tiffany didn't bother moving away. Was there a need to?

Tiffany stirred and huffed, turning to her side before attempting to open her eyes. She blinked drowsily before squinting against the sunlight peering through the curtains. It took a while but when she finally succeeded, she found herself face to face with an adorable sleeping Taeyeon curled up next to her.

She took a moment to remember what went down the night before. She took that moment to really think about what happened, what was said and to whom was involved. Unconsciously her hand reached out to lightly brush Taeyeon's bangs from her eyes, unintentionally waking up the latter.

She retracted her hand as Taeyeon shifted and struggled to open her eyes. The latter managed to sneak a peek before giving up.

"Hey," Taeyeon greeted, her voice still coated with sleep. "Morning."

Tiffany grinned at the sight. "Morning, cutie," she replied. She couldn't help it. "Slept well?"

Taeyeon chuckled lightly, still with her eyes closed. "Yes, and isn't it too early to flirt with me?"

She faked a gasp. "Never too early for that."

The girl chuckled again, that little dimple on her chin showing and a thought crossed Tiffany's mind.

"I actually wouldn't mind," she blurted out suddenly before she could really process it.

"Mind what?" Taeyeon mumbled.

Tiffany paused, weighing her options. Even though they had only spoken for about 3 hours last night at the bar, set aside the subtle flirting for the first two hours, the excessive and intoxicated flirting for the last hour before they got to the motel, and maybe plus the brief interaction before sleep, they did get along pretty well for supposed strangers.

She was definitely attracted to Taeyeon. The girl was able to make her laugh, she liked her touch on her skin, and felt comfortable sleeping with her (literally and figuratively).

Would it be okay to ask? Taeyeon's supposedly straight, maybe still, but Tiffany wondered and figured even if she was turned down, there wouldn't be any hard feelings.

A girl could try, right?

Meh. Why not?

"Going out with you." She wondered if Taeyeon had dozed off, but she answered anyway. "I wouldn't mind at all."

For a moment, she was almost convinced that Taeyeon had fallen asleep again until the girl opened her eyes, gazing softly right into her own.

It felt like the longest time, but Tiffany took that time to really look at her. Taeyeon really had the deepest pair of brown eyes she had ever let herself get pulled into. She wouldn't mind getting to know her, at all.

She watched as Taeyeon scooted closer, till their noses touched. The latter closed her eyes again, a small lopsided smile grew on her face, and the hint of dimple by her chin showed. She was close, definitely too close, but Tiffany really didn't find a need to move away.

"Okay," Taeyeon said softly. She shifted just a little closer, nudging her nose gently against Tiffany's cheek. "Sure, why not?"
