It seems that something is happening with MCS: Save Michigan Central.
I have questions about the why and how, but regardless of that, it looks like something other than hopelessness is being discussed and some productive actions are being taken. Some of it is mysterious to me, though, for example what's the point of cleaning the inside at all ( Read more... )

And there is work being done inside with one of those youth volunteer groups like Summer in The City or Detroit City Year or whatever. They want to make it clean enough in the bottom few levels so there can be concerts inside and stuff.
The sad part is Matty Maroun has the money to hire people and do it right but he's getting "good press" from these kids doing some cleanup in the meantime. That's my only beef.
