I completely sympathise here. I find my work stressful sometimes but I can cope with almost everything. Organising something which is meant to be fun... that can feel like a nervous breakdown coming on, especially with large groups of people and you're in charge of their fun.
Familiar with it as I know someone with Lupus but she has a lot of bone/joint pain, not heard of spleen issues before.
I'm glad they've given you a diagnosis though. It's easier to cope with something if you know what it is rather than the stress of flapping doctors with their umms and ahhs and 'Oh just one more blood test' and 'Here have these pills that will probably do NOTHING'.
have they done any ANA testing? or is this a "we've run all the tests we can afford, it's probably this, now go away" diagnosis?
if they're right, then I guess it could be a lot worse. it's nowhere near as bad as it was fifty years ago, when survival rates were really low. and who knows, in ten or twenty years time someone may discover a cure for it.
