This may sound weird, but I think the happier I am, the worst things are for those around me. I'm in a pretty enjoyable spot right now, and I see a LOT of people seemingly going through rough patches.

Or maybe since I'm not in one, I can't emphasize as well, and it just sticks out to me.

Life is what you make of it. People who are in despair are not going about their problems correctly.
