1) This is not going to be an epic friendship that enraptures me but, damn! Lol, at how perfectly Kishimoto captures boys' friendships. I mean, we get a lot of boyhood friendships (most notably Shikamaru and Chouji; and Sasuke and Naruto) and none of them so far are like this. But this is how I see a lot of boys communicate friendship- insults, slightly gross pranks, challenges etc. And I work with a lot of 9-12 year olds.
2) Tobirama! Just trying to do the right thing. I'm seeing more and more how he's a straight arrow with ideals but not much of one for vision. And we also got to see Madara's brother. I liked that too.
3) I find it highly alarming that there was a line about how it was part of the dream that missions be aligned with the nin who have the appropriate skills. This indicates that is not the case. What an inefficent system. Does it make anyone wonder what the average lifespan of a nin is in Naruto's time though? Because in Madara's time it is 30 years...but I rarely see nin over 35 in Naruto's time either though. A few outliers, I suppose, like the Third, and Danzou. Are there more older nin we just don't see because Naruto is the POV?
