Since you included one shots, I'll cheat and say the whole of The Space Between Us. (I love it, okay?). Especially that conversation where Ko says he plans on being very careful who he falls in love with (and then well-maybe-its-not-love-but-I-could-see-myself-marrying-you with Hanabi! =D). It's just a take on the whole concept of love and romance that I don't see represented very much in fiction, but is a very, very true one.

Yeah, it isn't a very well represented side of love is it? Still, I think Ko certainly loves her- whether it is romantic love, I'm not as sure of, but think it could grow to include that, if she lets him. She is certainly his first choice and he probably sees her more clearly than almost any other.
