My Three Things about Naruto 632
1) Team 10 was cute here, but- man Team 8= lols forever! We hardly ever get to see them, but Shino's one-liner was funny, and Hinata trying to placate Kiba was perfect. Also, Hinata is right on the nose with the whole "Yes, yes, everyone wants to be Hokage." (I could wax poetic about how she does not want that; presumably she wants to be clan head and help her clan but...I won't inflict you with my Hyuuga love here).
Just. Hilarious.
2) Not sure what is going on with the Hokage's plans or with Madara wanting to fight Hashirama. Not sure I care either. I'm here for the characters; if I was here for the plot I wouldn't be here anymore. My question is- are they going to somehow figure out how to bring back Mito, since she's actually the one who subdued the nine-tails. Or at least mentioned that. Like Hashirama could say, " I was watching Mito the last time she did this!" or something. So long as they don't recant and say it was Hashirama who actually saved the day with the nine-tails or some such, I guess it doesn't matter.
3)Nice to see Sakura get a moment of badassery and have Naruto (and Hashirama?) acknowledge it, even if Sasuke is still acting "too cool for school" to be impressed. In my head, I know that Sakura will only get this one half-a-chapter moment, while Sasuke and Naruto will get chapter long battles, but it is nice to see Sakura's growth be acknowledged in story both by other characters and on a more Doylist level by the author and hence the readers too. Funny after all the angst we see in fanfiction (which I am guilty of having written too), Team seven reunites as if it was five minutes after their trip to the Water Country and not four years and several wars since.
3a) Damn right Sakura wants to be Hokage too! And guess what boys? She actually knows what all that entails. I'm gonna go ahead and say this knowing my heart will probably be broken on this account, but... I hope Sakura (and not Naruto, or Sasuke or...Kiba) will get the job someday!
