1) How come Neji who just died and just died for Naruto to save his life does not come up as a "regret" when Asuma did? Or heck "not going to play with Sasuke when we were five" did. That's gratitude.
2) Lol at the arrival of the calvary its... Orochimaru. "You're late, Orochimaru!" is the Third's reaction? Not "What are you doing here, I thought you were bent on evil schemes yourself, Orochimaru!" I mean, he did bring them back I guess, but stlll... also, Karin's portrayal continues to sadden and disappoint me. Why are you slobbering over the dude who literally, true-facts stabbed you in the back. Go save Shikamaru (apparently the only ninja facing imminent doom, since the other slug-victims are either already dead or unaffected for some bizarre reason?) with your kinky healing powers.
3) Really? They are going to kill off Shikamaru?... Or earn emotional manipulation points by dangling that? I'm a little pissed because they already killed off one of my favorite characters and now want to do it to another one, but on an entirely different plan, doesn't this seem random and sudden? I mean, wtf even happened to cause him to die? A part of a slug died? Wot?
3a) Oh well. At least Ino got to do something helpful. I'm glad she's shown always doing something helpful in this arc at least. At least team ten is doing stuff?
Man, I'm bummed that I have been really not liking the chapters of Naruto for so long. Part of me feels I should quit it if I don't like it. Life's short, ya'know? But I love the world-building and some of the characters have my imagination. Sigh...
