Postcards From A Forgotten Shore started out as the AU high school Nejihina story I said I'd write some time for indira14. It's actually more of an "after high school story" though really. Instead of going to college at the school of her father's choice in the field he's wants her to take, Hinata leaves home to see more of the world. Stopping at different places, learning to live on her own, and on her own terms, Hinata learns some hilarious and hard life lessons. Meanwhile, Neji's made sacrifices of his own to support his cousin, choosing to stay close to home by enrolling in the local college instead of the prestigious ones that offered him more. When l, Hinata's departure sends him reeling from a sense of betrayal, forces Neji to question what he wants for himself out of life. He's not the only Hyuuga at home affected either, both Hanabi and Hiashi find the empty places in their lives Hinata once filled. "Taste" has got to be one of my most bizarre stories to date for the sheer fact that is an a vampire AU for the Naruto fandom. It's vaguely shika/ino (not your favorite pairing I know). It was also one of my harder stories to name. Eventually I went with it due to the first few paragraphs, where taste is referenced.
