well ths story ur about to read is about sonia. i changed the characters names though. here it goes
10 seconds
“OH MY GOD,” as Faith said sitting on the hospital bed. “Is this really true, do I really have this, what do I do to deal with this, am I still going to see my friends, am I still going to school, am I going……”
“I am sorry Faith,” as the doctor interrupted her. “You are going to be out of school for a little while; the only places you can go are your house and here, in the hospital. I know Faith, this is a big scare for you, but you have to understand that this is serious. Faith, were going to try everything that we can, to get you better. And we mean everything. Faith you are only 11 years old, and we will keep trying, to as much as your body can take.”
Faith was scared and terrified. She was sitting on the hospital bed, thinking about her life from that day forward. In ten seconds her life changed, it changed in a way that people usually take for granted, there health. In those ten seconds of Faiths life, she found out she had cancer. She just kept saying in her head ‘Cancer, Cancer, How did I get cancer’ she just kept repeating that phrase over and over in her head.
As Faith was sitting there in shock, her mom walked in the room. Faith’s mom was crying. Faith said “Mom, what’s wrong?” Her mom just said “nothing is wrong; there is just something in my eye.” As Faith’s mom was saying that to her, Faith was talking under her breath and said “Ma, I know how much this is hurting you, but ma don’t lie to me. I see it in your eyes, the fire of hate burning in your eyes.” Then Faith raised her voice and yelled (and she didn’t mean to, she didn’t want her mom to hear) “WHY ME WHY ME!”
Then her mom goes “I don’t know, I just don’t know anymore!”
The Faith said “MOM STOP! I am sorry this is happening to me, I really am, but this was meant to happen, this is life, life goes on with many surprises and tragedies.” Then Faiths mom smiled and walked over to her bed, sat on the end of it and just looked at her daughter. Then she leaned over and hugged Faith. As she was hugging her she whispered into Faiths ear, “you will make it through this, I have faith in you.”
As dusk was approaching, Faiths family had to leave her alone. Faith needed to rest.
Her parents were up all night. Pacing back and forth, back and forth. They were in the waiting room all night. Faiths sister was there to. She was sleeping though (she was only in 3rd grade). Her name was Lilly. Lilly didn’t know her sister had cancer, her mom just said she was sick. Rosemary, (Faith’s mom) didn’t want to scare Lilly.
9 months later, Faith is still fighting this cancer but, the doctors are saying she is getting better.
Well, Faiths life is all turned around with The Make-A-Wish foundation. Her wish was to spend a week in London and spend a day, on the set of Harry Potter. She also wanted to go to the third movie premiere, Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban.
Well her dream became her reality. The next thing she knows it, she is in London, England. She is walking the streets with her mom, dad and her sister. Then a couple days fly by and now, she is in the limousine with her family, on there way to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. As they are pulling up to the castle, Faith was saying to herself, ‘is this a dream, no this is reality.’ She takes one step out of the limousine and her sister Lilly says “is this a dream” then Faith goes “no sis, it’s real.”
All of Faiths family was in shock. They didn’t think the castle was going to be this beautiful. Faith and Lilly ran to the front door and walked in. Then Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Rupert Grint (Ron Wesley) and, Emma Watson (Hermonie Granger) greeted them.
That one day meant the whole world to Faith. She got to hold Hedwig (Harry’s owl), she the Quiddich field (actually there is no field, it is all computer animated.) and she even got Neville Longbottoms robe from the first and second movie.
Time flew by so fast that day. Before she knew it, the day was over. That night Faith was getting in bed to go to sleep. The Rosemary (Faith’s mom) knocked on the door. “Faith can I come in?” Faith says “yea some in, I am just getting ready to do to sleep.”
Faith you look so exhausted, you need to get some rest.”
“I know mom.” As Faith was getting into her bed, she asked her mom a question. “Ma, do you think the second part of my wish will come true, I mean that would be so cool to go to the premiere for the movie.”
Her mom replied “yeah Faith, you will go. I love you Faith, no matter what happens to you.”
“I love you to mom, you and daddy are sacrificing so much for me, and you guys will always be in my heart.”
6 months later, everyone is sitting there crying, Rosemary is looking at, at he coffin sitting right in front of her. A line of people going out the door. It is the night of Faith’s Wake. Her mom and dad are in the first row along with, her aunt and uncle. In the second row were Faith’s grandparents.
The Next day was the Funeral. Faith’s mom, dad, sister and, her whole family are walking out of the Limousines. Step after Step, inch after inch. Every step being harder to take then the last. Now the Family is walking up the stairs, right behind Faith’s coffin. Then Lilly is up at the alter, doing the first reading. Now it is the second reading and I the narrorator goes up. I am Faith’s best friend Jean Marie. As I was reading the second reading, I was holding in my tears. That day was the worst day of my life.
