Sure, the windows are tinted and all, but we don’t know if they are blacked out enough for a vampire to survive and I wasn’t about to let him get burns anywhere on that sexy body.

“I know that I don’t know where this Vail guy lives, but you don’t either. Worse comes to worse, I figure that when we get down there, we can find a safe place to hit the sewers, like the Hyperion, and we can hit some demons like Merle or somebody who know where the hell this Vail guy lives, Angel. Sound like a plan?”

He started to raise his head to answer, which I saw from the mirror.

“Don’t even bring that pretty face out to be burned, buster.”

Under this blanket, I felt too hot. The car was safe, but of course, Cordy wasn’t going to take her chances. I didn’t know for sure, but worse comes to worse. I figured that I’d just have to get below the covers. She answered me about knowing where Vail lived.

“I know that I don’t know where this Vail guy lives, but you don’t either. Worse comes to worse, I figure that when we get down there, we can find a safe place to hit the sewers, like the Hyperion, and we can hit some demons like Merle or somebody who know where the hell this Vail guy lives, Angel. Sound like a plan?”

I started to raise my head to answer, and like the hawk’s eyes, she saw me.

“Don’t even bring that pretty face out to be burned, buster.”

She said that I had a pretty face. I don’t care what language that you hear that in from the woman that you love, it sounds good.

Still, I defied her and found that she was right. The bacon smell was close.

He tried to come out from under the blanket and it smelled like the IHOP in here.

“See, Angel. I told you. If men listened to their women more, then the world would be a much better place!”

He grumbled and I drove on.

“I think that the Hyperion plan is perfect and it’ll work, you know. Good sewer access, lots of demons to muscle around for information, so I think that we are good there, but what about Connor? I feel so bad that he’s chained to that bed. I feel bad that faith hauled off and decked him like that and I feel so much concern that Riley and those two slayers…uh…Melissa and the other one will have their hands full with him. Do you think that this is going to work, baby? I mean, what if this Vail guy is so powerful with the magic’s, that he puts the whammy on us or something?”

I could always glow on him, I thought, but I was still worried about the whole magic being used on us thing, now that I had actually verbalized it.
