The way that Justin put it as I crashed through the door almost made me laugh and before the five out of the six that decided to attack, attacked, while one retreated, I did have to laugh about it. I don’t know, it was just the way that he put it. It was just the way that he said that there was a slayer here and a vampire that can kick your ass ( ... )

Watching my girl fight is amazing. Before I even threw punch number one, her gut-shot on the first vamp was devastating. I could hear his ribs crack with her connection and could feel his grunt through my bones. He is down for the count for at least a couple of minutes.

Of course, after tossing one vamp aside and engaging another in fisticuffs, my baby launched another one airborne, the look of exhilaration and anger on her face making me hot for her again, and then staked broken ribs man dead.

Four to go.

I wasted no time in getting medieval on the one that I was fighting with. I blocked his lame punches and then executed a left, right, left combo on his face and the last right was an uppercut that sent him flying, also out of commission for a second. The one that I had tossed came at me from behind, but I sensed him and hit him with a back kick that he didn’t expect and while he hunched down from being hit in the ribs, I grabbed his neck, flipped him up into the air and onto my knee where I then staked him down.

Three to go.

The way that he power-dropped the vamp that he just staked over his knee was makin’ me want him more and more and I had to focus on the fact that we were tryin’ to get information about where this Xavier asshole lived so that we could get to B’ before it’s too late ( ... )

This last one was the toughest of the group, easily.

I noticed that faith had killed two with one staking and was now approaching the meek vamp in the back of the crypt. I wanted to watch her in action with him, except that my business wasn’t done yet.

This last one reminded me of a warrior that I might have faced off against on the streets of Brooklyn when I was human and a teenager. He was powerful, with biceps that were impressive, and he had connected with me on a couple of shots and they didn’t tickle.

He fought smart, which was surprising considering the company that he seemed to hang with and I assumed as I took control and got him in a chokehold, taking him down to the ground and bashing his skull against the floor, that he was their leader.

I gave him a chance to tell me where Xavier lives, but he refused and I buried my stake into his back, looking up to see Faith moving in on Mr. Meek.
