Soldierboy and the Big Bad useless at helping Buffy.

Soldierboy and I had come to an understanding of bloody sorts. We had come to the understanding that bygones were bygones. He had his wife, who died and now, he seemed to somehow have two slayers that are attracted to him, and me...well, I have Buffy now, except that I don't ( Read more... )

I knew exactly what it was that Spike was feeling, but unlike him, generally I am able to make partial decisions that aren’t testosterone driven ( ... )

“Look, Spike, Faith and Justin left about ten hours ago, if not more. Angel and Cordelia have been gone for probably seven hours and aren’t back yet. Leah and Melissa are exhausted. Both of them survived vampire attacks very recently and Melissa nearly died. There isn’t anything that we can do now. Our time to help Buffy has past and it’s up to her, Faith and Justin now and we can just hope and pray.”“There’s got to be more that I can do then that? I’m supposed to just wait here, the fourth bloody wheel to the handsome threesome couple? I don’t bloody think so ( ... )

Like I said, the vampire testosterone thing on overdrive, but I didn’t make a fuss because I knew where he was coming from. Loving Buffy had been the most intense thing of my life and having her love, for however long that she actually loved me back in return, was equally amazing and warming.

Spike had to be going out of his mind with worry, but then again, I’m not about to console him. We had just started tolerating each other. I don’t think that we are quite there yet.

Connor screamed, not angrily, though, for us to untie him.

I looked at Spike.

“Alright, let’s go see about the boy. Probably trying to pull the bleeding wool over our eyes so we’ll set him free. Your birds said that he is beyond help. You’re right. I have to trust in Buffy’s strength and hope that faith and this Justin that I’ve never met brought their hard hats and lunch pails to the office.”“Okay. ( ... )

“Okay. Cordelia and Angel were going to try to release his anger, somehow. Maybe it worked?”

“Need something to distract me until Faith decides to pick up her cell phone and call you…”

I looked at him. “She is going to call you, right?”

He nodded and I was a little satisfied.

“If the boy is still full of piss and vinegar then I’ll be putting him to sleep for hours, if you know what I mean. I need the interruption but am not going to play around with him. Angel would crap little puppies if he came back and his boy isn’t here.”

I pushed the door open and looked at him. I couldn’t be sure but he looked stunned and his face, battered. It was easy to tell that slayers had been beating on him half of the day.
