Part of me wants to rant and seethe and generally be the same angry overpoliticized person I have been since the age of, oh say, 14. I've been on both sides of the fencee, and currently place myself so far from it that I'm not sure I'm in the same field anymore

I agree with you almost completely. I get so tired of hearing about the election of various parts of the web 2.0 with folks who have completely bought one side's spin while ignoring their sides. I think the election is going to be fun to watch, but I'm not terribly excited about any candidate.

Tell, you what? Why don't we run on a Funke/Meyer ticket when we're eligible. Our platform: Fund project Voltron, form the head, and go defend the planet from intergalactic terrorism and robeasts.
