No one could deny that Jensen had a lot to say. The filter between his mouth and his brain burned out long ago. Usually his thoughts came out in long jumbled sentences. He very rarely said just one word. When a corrupt general came to The Losers and wanted them to get the evidence they had against him, Jensen said only one word.

“No.”

Jensen knew all about the general. He knew the charges brought against him. The man was accused of doing horrible things. Raping women, men, even small children if he felt like it. After he was done with them he would maim then almost to the point of being unrecognizable. He had to go to jail for his crimes.

“What did you say boy?”

“I said no.”

The general didn’t say anything else. He just raised his gun to Jensen and shot him twice in the gut and once in the hand. He then went back to talking to Clay as if nothing had happened. The general didn’t take into account the rest of The Losers.

Clay punched the general in the face, breaking his nose. General or not Clay would not stand for anyone harming a member of his team. Especially Jensen. While the general was on his knees Cougar pointed a gun to his head. Now Clay had a problem. As much as Clay wanted to shoot the general, even he had rules. Not many…but a few. Shooting a higher up was defiantly on the ‘Do not do’ list.

Before Clay could say anything, a cry of pain from Jensen snapped Cougar out of his dark thoughts. The sniper put his gun away and went over to where the hacker was. He handed a gun to Pooch before taking over the care of Jensen. Pooch went over to the general and shot him twice in the legs. When Clay gave him a look Pooch just simply shrugged his shoulders. Clay told Pooch to put the general in a car and take him to the village where most of his victims
were. They could have their own version of justice.

Cougar carefully checked out Jensen’s wounds, feeling a huge weight lifted off his shoulders when it seems like the shots missed all the vital organs. His hand would be a mess, but Cougar would rather have Jensen out of commission for a few weeks than not have him at all.

“Esto es siempre sus palabras que le consiguen en el problema.”

Despite everything Jensen chuckled.

“You know me. Least I only said one word.”

Cougar rolled his eyes and continued to patch Jensen up.

“Can you stand?”

“I can try.”

Jensen took the offered hand and pulled himself up on his feet. He winced and bit back a curse, but he was standing. Cougar helped him to the car, but before he got in Cougar pinned him to the car and kissed him. Jensen could feel the pain the older man was in, and it made Jensen’s heart hurt.

“Never do that again.”

“I’ll try. But it’s nice to see that you care so much.”

Cougar rolled his eyes and gently smacked Jensen in his head, chuckling slightly at Jensen’s squawk of surprise. He put Jensen in the car and started off towards the safe house. Jensen still needed more care, but Cougar would make sure his road to recovery was the best he could make it.
