It shouldn’t have happened during their time off. They spent so much of their time trying not to get killed while they were working, it shouldn’t have been something they should have to worry about on their time off. Apparently a drunk in the town they were staying didn’t think so. He decided he was going to hit the first car he saw because he wanted to die. He just had to pick the car that Cougar and Jensen were in, with Jensen driving.

Cougar wasn’t sure how he got out of the car. He could feel the blood running on the side of his face, starting just above his eye. Must have been from the glass of the windshield. His shoulder was on fire, more than likely dislocated. But at least it wasn’t his shooting arm. He was about to yell for Jensen, to see if he was alright. Then Cougar got a good look at the car. His heart stopped beating. All of the damage was on Jensen’s side…and Jensen was still in the car.

Before he could even process what he was doing, he was breaking the glass out of Jensen’s window and pulled him out. The hacker was bleeding from his nose and forehead. But what worried the sniper more was how pale the hacker was, and how little he was talking. Cougar laid Jensen on the ground by the car. He used his radio, which had somehow survived the crash, to call Clay and Pooch. After telling their team mates where they were, Cougar could turn his full attention to Jensen.

“Jensen. Jensen! Wake up mi amor.”

Cougar gave Jensen a quick glance over to see what other damage was done. From what he could tell Jensen most likely had broken ribs and a fractured collar bone. He also might have a broken leg but Cougar couldn’t be sure. He had to wake Jensen up. He wished he could think of a better way but desperate times call for desperate measures.

“Perdóneme el amor”

Cougar pressed down on Jensen’s leg, causing the hacker to scream in pain.

“The fuck!”

Cougar kissed Jensen out of sheer relief. He didn’t want to think about what he would have done if Jensen hadn’t woken up. The hacker had quickly become the center of Cougar’s universe, and the sniper wasn’t ready to give him up just yet.

“Next time I drive.”
