David had tried everything after school. He couldn't seem to find his calling. But he was really convinced that he had possibly found it, finally. He walked at Weasley's Wizard Wheezes as a joke developer. IT WAS TOTALLY AWESOME! He had been working there for two months and had already gotten a product into production. Finally something he could do.
On break, David loved strolling Diagon Alley. He could never get sick of it! But what did he want to do for an hour? He stroked his chin, glancing at all the stores and restaurants he passed. Not really what he wanted, kinda expensive, bad reviews, OOOOH! How could he be so silly! Florean Fortescue's was just what he needed on this beautiful spring day. He stood inside, staring at a menu. What did he want?
Having acquired her sundae (triple chocolate fudge ripple with whipped cream and a dab of vanilla to keep from sending her into chocolate shock), Ruth Ann headed towards the front of the shop, intent on snagging a table outside. She (carefully) placed the proto-type chicken she was currently working on under her arm and spooned chocolaty goodness into her mouth as she walked. Yes, the day was definitely starting to look up.
David saw a girl, who looked vaguely familiar, pass with something chocolate and delicious. Mmm. He asked the shopkeeper to have the same thing she did. Taking a bite, he didn't regret the decision. "Hey thanks," he said to the girl. "You inspired me." David indicated his ice cream with a goofy grin.
"Chocolate is always a good choice," Ruth Ann said cheerfully after swallowing. Choosing a table, she sat down and placed her chicken in front of her. Currently her problem was that the explosions were always too... well, big. She didn't need huge, people-injuring explosions, just small ones. That distracted people. And allowed her to make a clean getaway. Of course, if she could keep the chicken from exploding also, that would be pretty neat too, because then it would be eco-friendly and all that good stuff. And cheaper. Always a good thing.
