Life changes all the time so it's really a toss up between a lot of things.
There was me leaving everything behind for college, for a dream of something normal, of being in one place for more than a few months, of having friends I wouldn't have to leave behind at the drop of a hat. That changed what I knew of life completely. Life wasn't research about things people only dreamed about, crapping motel rooms, the backseat of the Impala and falling asleep to the click-slide of Dean cleaning the guns. Instead, it became going out with friends, studying about every day things - things I could talk to other people about, worrying only about passing exams or handing in papers.
That changed my life.
But deciding to come back to hunting was also a life changing experience. Hell, yeah, a lot of people would probably look at me and tell me I didn't choose it - but truth is, there has to come a time when you make a conscious, or even unconscious, decision about something. I came back to hunting because I had to; I stayed because I chose too.
It…It became less about Jess and revenge, and more about everything else. Everything Dean had spent years trying to get me to learn.
It changed my life because I stopped running away from who I was, stopped pretending that normal was what I was looking, stopped thinking I could hide behind a 4.0 GPA and run from the worry of things that go bump in the night or ignore that pit in my stomach whenever I didn't hear from Dean or Dad.
Life became living in the moment - and that's probably the biggest change of all.
