I haven't posted any icons here since AUGUST, omg.

So, I entered this month's 20muses challenge and it was SO AWESOME, YOU GUYS. I picked Revolutionary Girl Utena as my claim bc I figured I should icon something that's not Fate/stay night for once, and I've been capping RGU, so why not?

Dude, your pinks and purples are fantastic, and you make lighting so intimidating. I could never work light blobs like you do! (I always rely on b/w textures to light my stuff cuz I get embarrassed when I try to make my own light blobs and create a mess instead.) The text work in 5, 7, and 11 is awesome! :D

omg aww thanks, that's so sweet of you! tbh I start off w/ b/w light textures (cough cough totally not the same one in every icon) and then sorta, use that as a guideline to then paint my own blobs on? the glowier the better!

Yeahhh, don't know why I never thought of that. Makes so much sense. Also, I totally used the same handful of b/w AND colored textures in pretty much every icon of my latest post. It's strange that the same textures can bring out totally different things in various caps! We shouldn't even be ashamed as long as the end products leave us satisfied with our work!

Anyway, I'm with library_of_sex when it comes to your pinks and purples. You rock those colors like no one else, in my opinion! What I enjoy the most about your icons is how soft they look, it's very... idk, romantic? Which I think works particularly well for RGU icons even though I know close to nothing about RGU.

omg aww thank you so much! ♥♥ I'm so glad you like the lighting and text - I feel like every time I stop making icons for a while text is by far the hardest thing to get back into the groove with, despite being one of my fave things to work with, so it's good to know it turned out alright!
