It's been a crazy couple of days. Tell me,is it still normal to have nightmares past the age of 18?, Because I had one filled with symbolism and all the good stuff. I probably just shouldn't have read up on that Jason vs Freddy movie at 2 a.m. I'm sure it didn't help

Absolutely. Nightmares aren't determined by age, but by emotional stresses.
Believe me, I have them often enough...*sigh*
