Hisoka's Hand Pose

I may or may not be one of the first/few people to notice this and I'm sorry if maybe this keeps getting brought up. I just thought this might be an interesting-ish fact to know about our favourite- at least my favourite- clown. (He's not a clown but you know ( Read more... )

Haha! I can't say I noticed it before, but then again, I'm not an expert on obscure gestures, so it probably just flew over my head... But you're right, it totally looks like that! I wouldn't put it past Hisoka to subtly suggest things like that (regardless of his intention to actually do it) just for the fun of pissing Illumi off. =P

Yeah, I'm not one familiar with obscure gestures so I didn't really get it until I looked it up. And poor Illumi, he has to deal with Hisoka's 'peculiar'-ness (as a nice way to put it)

I don't have that issue in front of me right now, but he probably used some form of やる, right? It can mean a lot of things, including killing and sex... so it would be hilarious if Togashi put in a double--entendre there! Something that would definitely be lost in a translation, unless the translator was reallllllly paying attention.

Now I can't see it any other way! What chapter of the manga is it? Can someone link me to it?

I believe it's Chapter 326 (forgive me I forgot :P). And I think that the symbol used was one of those.

I lost the link but if I get it I'll send it to you.

I just wanted to say that I love that you've spent all this time looking into an obscure obscene hisoka hand gesture. <3 I am many many many years out of this fandom, but I still appreciate the effort anyhow. (...and have lots of fond memories of hisoka. >_>;;

XD. Wow thanks for appreciating this. It wasn't that hard but it was pretty weird doing this research. And I'm glad I was able to bring you back into the fandom for this.
