Fish have stopped dying. Miserable weekend. Lost close on 30 fish in short order. :( Wiped out my cherry barbs and neons, and a fair few of the platys too. Luckily I got some medication in time to save a few of them. The only ones seemingly unaffected with the Ottos, which are supposed to be the more sensitive fish. Go figure

Do you have any idea what killed the fish?

and HOW do you give a fish medication? I just can't picture shoving a pill down a fishy throat. I hope you can replace them, especially the neons they're so pretty...cherry barbs sound like they'd be pretty too; come to think of it, didn't you post pictures of the platys and the others? I can't think what the Ottos look like.

It was something called whitespot. It's normally not too much of a problem, but it absolutely infested them almost overnight. I cam ehome one day and found about 5 of them floating on top. The rest went shortly afterwards.

You generally medicate the whole tank and effectively give them a bath in the solution. It turns the whole tank bright blue for an hour or so

White spot can be very nasty indeed..

As for keyboard smasher person, a few drops of super glue on the keyboard will fix it, he'll become very attached to it...

How awful about the fish. Did one of the new ones bring it in do you think?
