001 - Effigy Mounds and stupid college kids.

Oct 05, 2006 16:08

I thought about posting all of my past hand written journal entries, but realized that I don't have time to do that right now. I'll keep it under one of the seats in the jeep. I'm also talking to myself, since no one else is reading this. List making time:

- Get tattoo "fixed".
- Clean the guns (buy a new bottle of gun oil. It's almost gone).
- Fill up some salt rounds. Buy more halite, in general.
- Work. (Find those kids [William Backes & Kenneth Warren], ask around about lost dogs, just incase, etc.)
- Call mom back.

HUNT: Violent Spirits/Guardian Spirits (sounds like...)
Some drunk college kids decided they were gonna see what was in "them big hills out there" a week ago. This is what happenes when you let the public into places that need to be reserved. Two of the kids were killed by what the other two (barely bruised) described as a grey wolf, but there, apparently, hasn't been a wolf sighting in the area in 30 years.

"Them big hills" are effigy mounds for sure (since, well, the place is called effigy mound park). I went up on a hill to check out the shapes, and to my un-surprise, animal effigies. This particular one had a canine shape. I hate dealing with supernatural animals. Really.

Not sure what I'm going to have to do exactly. Sounds to me like the trouble's only caused when the burial site's tampered with. But I guess I'm here to make sure of that. Salting and burning the bones inside aren't going to do anything about that ghost wolf. Repairing the mound, maybe, but I think they've already done that. I'll be doing some heavy research tonight - after I go make some easy money.

UPDATE So, there are no cameras at this place according to the officer I spoke to at the parlor. So, I've got nothing to look at, but at the same time, I've got less to get caught by. So, if this place is secured, I'll have to find a way to distract these guys for a little bit so I can get over there.
